Reporting in from sunny Port Macquarie..............sorry for the slight delay but every good blogger needs a holiday! 52 ladies made up the numbers today. Numbers were slightly down even though we had our school related holiday blow ins! (one even managed to make the podium). So we finally held our Foursomes Championships after our rained out March event...........it was worth the wait, with perfect golfing weather on offer today. I'm sure I can speak on everyone's behalf in saying it was a fun filled day with plenty of laughter and some even had some friendly banter going. The wait is over............ today we had two teams trying to qualify for Bonville. Vicki Duesbury and Michelle Hughes had a good game but didn't have enough to qualify. Then the wait for Di Jackson and Nancy Carey-Berryman who were in the last team to come in had a great score of +7 to win overall and are on their way to Bonville in November. Congratulations ladies what a great achievement. Just quietly Nancy did say she was going home for a beer or two or even three 🏌🏼‍♀️🍾🥂

Sadly Cheryl Ledger passed away early this morning. I have been asked to inform Cheryl's golf friends the Funeral will be held next Friday 29th September. The service will be at the Catholic Church The Entrance, beginning at 1 pm. Judi asked if those attending would wear our Blue Club Shirt with white bottoms. A very sad day and a great loss of a beautiful Lady.

Our final Par event was held for the year with 43 ladies taking up the challenge. 😊 Most ladies showed off their freshly shaved legs with the warm weather predicted.............. no need to thank me for the heads up! You can book your times by using the kiosk within the clubhouse, bookings will open online and at the proshop after there is sufficient time for members to book at the clubs onsite kiosk. MEMBERS PORTAL ....LATEST  INFORMATION Clearly, the Members Portal is a work in prog ress and it continues to change as we work with the web designers. As of yesterday, the menu tab will only enable you to sign out. To do most things,  you need to click on  BOOK A TEE TIME. This will take you to the competitions page where you can see the timesheets. You can make a booking or cancel from any timesheet within the next fortnight. You can also see the results of previous comps by clicking on the first date in the date range and selecting the past date you wish to view. For example, to see 14th September results,  last Thursday,  click on today’s date, a calendar will appear. Click on September 14 in the calendar and you will see the comps on that day with two tabs under them....RESULTS and PRIZES . Click on RESULTS and you can now view either overall divisions or select a specific division. Prizes are not yet available . (T he web designers are working on that for us . )

Fifty ladies braved the cold and blustery winds.................oh and those furry greens! Our three teams who represented our club today did us proud. We once again looked amazing and we all played well. The 5th hole nearest the pin was only going to be won by a Breakers lady starting with Nell Spargo getting her name on the sheet to be knocked off by Vicki Duesbury then finally Nancy Carey-Berryman came along to finally take the nearest the pin 👋👋👋. We also had Colleen Henry getting the closest on the 14th 👋👋👋 The team of 3 consisting of Jill Lavery, Nancy Carey-Berryman and Di Jackson had a +11 which gave them a ball each. Vicki Duesbury, Marnie I'Anson and Michelle Hughes had a +10 and Colleen Henry, Nell Spargo and Jenny Chapman had a +10 On a very rare occasion no one won any of the 100's club numbers!!!!!!!! 😟

At this stage, you may only view the timesheets 7 days prior to play, even though they appear to be open. Hopefully, this timing will change in the near future. All 57 ladies were playing for either the President or the Captain team today. Everyone was looking good in their team colours with some going with the matching outfits 😎👯. At the end of the day there can only be one winner and the honour this year goes to the Presidents Team 👏👏👏. The scores were high today starting with a huge score of 45 👀💪 Wowsers! You are going to have to pull out some big scores over the next 2 weeks to make the cut for the Stableford shoot out!!!!
